by My Name is of No Consequence inwhat if the governing body members bought a ticket or somehow obtained one.
then the unthinkable happens...they won!

Yes there are some weird doctrines indeed. Flagellant is one of the of those.
Believe that the best way to absolve sin is to beat yourself silly with whips, switches
and other nasty painful devices, to imitate the beating of Christ.

I predicted a lottery number from a pattern, is the lottery NOT random or is random held to a universal force?
by EndofMysteries ini've studied and observed several lottery patterns.
this one is now gone so nothing lost by revealing it.
i had a certain history search and noticed that almost each week the past few months a list of numbers not used recently were being used 1 per week.

Easy folks, a group of 26 (there are 26 mega numbers) each member kick in $100.00 and pick
one mega number. You pick three of your favorite numbers and wheeled the other two.
Example if I pick 6 (my favorite number) for the mega and 16 26 39 X X mega 6, a hundred
picks X 25 other members pick=2600 chances. For a billions dollars I would kick in a 100 bucks.
OK who's in.

This is one way religion will survive, a uniting of all religions.

Share Your Personal Experiences Please!
by LaurenM inso since leaving the borg i've made quite a few stupid mistakes, hurting myself a lot..but i finally feel like i've learned and i think, in time, i'll find my happiness again...even more happiness that i could've ever had being a jw.. but my question to you guys is, what was your experience like leaving the borg?
did you struggle at all?
how long have you been out?

Life is not supposed to be great when you leave the borg. Family members that are still
JW's are puzzled. We (me and sons) should be living in the streets, jail or dead.
The boys mom (my ex) see no reason to witness to them when they visit. My one JW
daughter told me my ex brags about the boys to other JW's, how great they are doing.
My kids were born in so like so many here it was a tough road for them.

What is your relationship with ALCOHOL?
by nicolaou inhere in the uk new drinking guidelines have been issued which suggest "no more than 14 units a week - equivalent to six pints of beer or seven glasses of wine.".
another piece of the advice which is getting a lot of attention is that "if people drink, it should be moderately over three or more days and that some days should be alcohol-free.".
already people are making cries of "nanny state!

A family gathering(all non-JW's) and my JW son-in-law and my daughter, he mention
to me later, "hum no booze, amazing". It was a battle with me and my sons after we left
the Borg. A lot of problems as a result of drinking, they saw dad (me) drinking and it looked as if
dad was having a lot of fun (suffering from PTSD), but I saw the problem they were having, DUI's.
I kept hammering into their minds you can have fun without drinking and a better life.
Today, one stopped drinking completely and the other son only drink on special occasion and
I hope he have it under control.

I made a lot of bad decisions while under the influence of Alcohol. I felt I could
not have fun without my Gin and juice..While working as a bartender one night I decided
no Gin and juice for the night. I noticed how foolish people were when they have a little to
much, and for the first time I was able to drive home and not worry the Cops would stop me. LOL
It's funny, when I did drink it seems that every corner a cop car waiting, since I do not drink
now I never see them anymore late at night.
That's one reason I became a JW these people really love the wine, that's the religion for me.

Elder continues serving as elder after his daughter got disfellowshipped!
by hardtobeme inthis is what is happening in a spanish congregation in our area.

The elders that were appointed around the same time I was appointed, over half of
those serving today kids are DF, and a large number of those elders kids were DF in
their teens while living with their elder dad. I'm speaking about elders that were appointed
in the 60's and 70's.....One elder I knew both his kids were DF in their teens, and he still remain
a crazy elder and still serving today.

Has anyone here ever send a plea to the GB? Do you dump sh--ts know
what you are doing to families, do you realize you are breaking down the unity of
thousands of good families. How can you sleep at night? Where your child life so
terrible and now you want all to feel your pain? What the hell is your problem?
Do you realize the words you speak to the RF (the words of God) is causing so much
pain, they don't know if they should sh--t or go blind.
Your hands are covered with the blood of innocent people who are trying to do the right thing.
You men sitting in your golden tower are some evil SOB.
